Easy-for-Me™ is perfect for beginners, and if used as outlined will prevent learning difficulties for children who would otherwise struggle in learning to read. Some children come to Kindergarten with a rich background in preschool. Other children have not experienced preschool and are truly beginners. While many kids make it through Kindergarten just fine, there are always some who are unsure of the basics as they go into first grade. The goal of Easy-for-Me™ is to teach essential reading skills in a way that is compatible with the young child’s own developmental stage. We use body motions, images, hands-on activities, stories, and other brain-friendly strategies rather than memorization and drill. This approach ensures no child is left behind.

Use Easy-for-Me™ Complete Teaching Kit in the first-grade classroom

Teachers in first-grade classrooms will welcome incoming students who possess a wide variety of skill levels. Some children are ready to rocket ahead, while others need some reinforcing of letters and sounds. Still others come with little to no preparation, depending on their school experience the previous year. Using this Easy-for-Me™ Kit in the first-grade classroom will ensure that every child acquires essential reading skills. For those children who need to catch up, just progress through the self-paced lessons. For those who are progressing easily, you can raise the difficulty level by using small group instruction, using additional readers, introducing the SnapWords® more rapidly, and expanding the writing projects. The end-of-year result will be that all your students will leave first-grade with a complete array of basic skills, they will be reading and writing, and will be prepared for more advanced work the following year.
